They celebrate the triumph of Christ and his victory over sin and death, and they share in Christ’s triumph and victory for they are the ones who “have survived the time of great distress.   The chapter ends in verse 21 with the infinite reality of eternal life: "So that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." An excellent and well written book through out, it inspires us to consider God's wonderful plan, from creation through to judgement and how Christ's victory is all important. Paul reminded the saints at Colossae that victory over sin and self was not possible through willpower and fleshly struggle.

True victory could only come through understanding and believing what Christ's death for their sins and resurrection for their justification really meant.
